Men's Fellowship launched in Kyabram

"How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity " – Psalm 133:1.

Those words set the tone for the inaugural gathering of Kyabram Parish's new Men's Fellowship on 2 June, when fifteen men came together at the Presbytery for an evening of fellowship, faith and shared purpose.

While the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the proceedings were intentionally formal and structured. Guided by the theme Men Walking Together in Faith, the gathering provided an opportunity for participants to introduce themselves, share their life journeys and reflect on their aspirations as Catholic men seeking to grow in faith and support one another.

Over a shared meal, the men spoke openly about the challenges and joys of family life, their experiences of faith, and their hopes for the future of the group. Discussion focused on how a Parish Men's fellowship could foster deeper brotherhood, spiritual growth, mutual encouragement and opportunities for service within the parish and wider community.

The evening was marked by thoughtful conversation, genuine listening and a spirit of openness. The strong turnout and meaningful discussion provided an encouraging foundation for future gatherings as the group continues to discern how best to support men in their faith and strengthen parish life.

As the gathering concluded, there was a shared sense that something important had begun – a reminder that faith is often strengthened when it is lived alongside others.
