The Australian Diocesan Consultation and Discernment Phase of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops (The Synod on Synodality) concluded in April 2022.  The Diocese of Sandhurst provided the National Centre for Pastoral Research (NCPR) with a synthesis of responses from partipants in the Sandhurst consultations. 

NCPR, the research body appointed by the Holy See to lead the Australian engagement, used all Australian diocesan syntheses to inform regional consultation and discernment for the Continental stage of the Synod on Synodality when the Australian Catholic BIshops Conference join with New Zealand, Pacific Island and Papua New Guinea/Solomon Island Bishops'Conferences.
